Last year while camping at the Baltic Sea Stephen met "Hippie Jens", a mobile healer who has never used a computer and lives without smartphone and internet. His zest for life, lightness and gratitude towards everything impressed Stephen very much, Jens said to Stephen: "You are on a good path, you absolutely have to read Siddhartha and the Steppenwolf by Hesse". The encounter moved Stephen to undergo a small self-experiment. For the complete album phase of Tipi im Wald he exchanged internet and television for Hesse and producing. What did he want to achieve with it? Stephen had long felt the need for a new approach to writing lyrics and hoped to find a new source of inspiration. The attempt worked out and Tipi im Wald practically wrote itself. Song concepts, lyrics and melodies bubbled up without end and the Tipi im Wald demos provided very positive feedback in Stephen's environment. Finally the two Reggae veterans Dr. Ring Ding and Mellow Mark could be won as feature guests for this project. In total, 10 tunes were created with authentic lyrics drawing from Stephens own life experience and wrapped in humorous concious styles. German premium Roots Reggae in the unmistakable Stephen Keise timbre. Tipi im Wald reminds us how important it is to find your own formula and maybe to BE a bit more like "Hippie Jens". More...

`RASAN WAYO ́ in the HAUSA language of West Africa simply means `LOSS OF MIND OR WISDOM ́. A lady suddenly loses her mind, breaks up from her long time partner and all because of a richer man! That`s what the song is basically about. .......................
Split Mirrors artistically opened a new door and dived into a new musical adventure. After many productive years, in which they exclusively composed their own songs, Henry Flex and Achim Jaspert now enthusiastically launched another heart project, to remix some of their favorite songs from the 80s. The result is an album with remixed hits of friends, such as the Camouflage, Fancy or Bad Boys Blue and as well as some of their own songs. So on this album you can find classics like "Self Control" or "The Great Commandment" in the familiar Italo disco / discofox sound of the Split Mirrors. It's time for action, baby!
